TRUE Beauty
Sunday, September 22, 2013"What is essential is invisible to the naked eye." -Red fox; The Little Prince
We are all blinded by what true beauty really means. A strong majority is living in a myth where being beautiful requires a pretty face, a flat stomach, thigh gap, hip bones, and whatever physical perfection you can think of.
True beauty, as cliche as it may sound, is found within. Having a good heart is what matters. Helping others, being there for others, being a good person in general, is what being beautiful is all about.
When we all grow old and weak, when our skin sags, our face wrinkles, and all the signs of youth vanish, a pretty face, together with the other physical definitions of being beautiful, vanishes with them. But the marks of having a wonderful personality stay. When you die, do you want people to remember you only by your pretty face? If yes, then you're a conceited, selfish, self-centered twat.
What I am trying to say is we don't need to be physically perfect to be considered beautiful. Girls, including myself, tend to be insecure of others who are what we prefer to call "goddesses". But you know what? We don't have to be insecure, not even the slightest bit. We set our own basis to the definition of the word "beautiful." And in my opinion, the red fox from the Little Prince was right. What's essential IS invisible to the naked eye... because true beauty cannot be seen through our eyes, it can only be seen, and felt with our hearts.
